Lily: Ever seen kids in movies going 'trick-or-treating' on Halloween? That’s pure Americana. But did you know the UK equivalent involves giant bonfires? You’re listening to Studyfi Podcast.

Oliver: That's right! While both countries love Christmas with turkey and presents from Santa, the details differ. For example, in England, they have Christmas pudding. And the day after Christmas is Boxing Day, a huge shopping day.

Lily: It's the same with Easter! Both celebrate it, but in the UK, kids have 'egg races'—rolling painted eggs down a hill. Sounds messy!

Oliver: Definitely! In the USA, it’s all about the 'Easter Egg Hunt,' finding chocolate hidden in the garden.

Lily: And what about holidays that are totally unique?

Oliver: Well, the US has Independence Day on July 4th, celebrating the Declaration of Independence. And Thanksgiving, of course, which is all about family and... more turkey.

Lily: While the UK celebrates the Queen's OƯicial Birthday and Bonfire Night on November 5th, remembering a plot to blow up Parliament in 1605. Lots of fireworks for that one!

Oliver: So, while some traditions are shared, each country has its own unique ways to celebrate throughout the year.
