Sara: Yes! It can feel like learning a new language, but it’s actually pretty simple once you know the key phrases.

James: So, where do we start? I guess with checking if a room is available for my arrival date?

Sara: Exactly. Arrival is when you get there, departure is when you leave. You'll always need to confirm those dates. The hotel will also need your personal data and the number of guests.

James: And if I need a room for two people with one big bed?

Sara: Then you're looking for a double room. Simple as that!

James: Okay, what about food? I always see terms like half board and full board.

Sara: Great question. Half board is usually breakfast and dinner. Full board adds lunch. Or you might just have breakfast included.

James: So with full board I basically never have to leave the hotel.

Sara: You wouldn't have to! Just make sure they also have free Wi-Fi, and check if there's air conditioning or heating depending on the season.

James: And a B & B is simply 'bed and breakfast', usually a smaller, cozy place, right?
