Asking for Items
Přepis
Sophie: …wait, so you’re telling me that a *cortaúñas* is specifically a nail clipper? I thought it was a general term!
Sam: Nope, it’s super specific! Just like *peine* is a comb, and *cepillo* is a brush. Welcome back to Studyfi Podcast, everyone!
Sophie: Today, we’re diving into personal care items. Okay, so what about a razor?
Sam: That would be *una rasuradora*. And what you use with it is *crema de afeitar*, or shaving cream.
Sophie: Got it. So how would we ask if a store has *any* of these things? Like, do you have any sunscreen?
Sam: Great question. You’d use 'any' or '*alguno*'. You could ask, “¿Tiene *bloqueador solar*?” Or for plural, like nail files, “¿Tiene algunas *limas*?”
Sophie: And what if you need a lot of something?
Sam: Then you can use *mucho* or *un montón de*. Like, “Necesito *mucho champú*.”
Sophie: Or “Necesito *un montón de* labial.” You can never have too much lipstick!
Sam: Exactly! So remember, learn the specific noun, like *pasta de dientes* for toothpaste, then use quantifiers to ask for what you need. That’s all for today!
